Coming Sunday, students who have always aspired to get into top B-Schools in India would be finally writing CAT 2008. CAT scores are highly valued and a student with a good score could land in any of the IIMs of his/her choice. While students would have made endless preparations for this judgment day, here are some expert advices that I came to know from experienced IIM graduates who believe that these tips would be very useful to the upcoming aspirants who dream to pursue Degree in Management from top Indian B-Schools. They are as follows:
1. During examination a candidate must scan through the question paper and try to find out his section of interest.
2. Once step 2 is achieved it is better to have a look at the question in the corresponding section.
3. Candidates should stick to the time limit that they have allotted for each section. In any case if a candidate runs out of time in completing a section completely, he/she should try to leave the section and move on to the next.
4. It is always better to answer the question known to the best of the candidates knowledge first following which he/she should try the harder part of the question paper. It is always advisable to complete the exam on a happy note. In simple words candidates better start with the section they are strong at following which they should try the doubtful or weaker section. In the end the candidate must try to finish out the stronger section.
5. It is a good practice to attend only the questions for which the candidate is sure of its answer. Giving too many wrong answers would result in negative marking thus stripping them of the credits for their good work. Experts believe that attending some 35-38 out of 75 questions correctly alone could book a candidates place in any of the IIMs.
I hope that these tips would be very much useful for the CAT aspirants tomorrow. Wishing everyone all the best.

With fuel prices soaring high every day, every minute, every second, it has become difficult for commuters in the common man’s category to afford for fuel for their vehicle at this time of the economic meltdown. But researchers in Germany unveiled a new racing car expected to be capable of hitting the roads at 170 kmph in future. And guess what could be the fuel used in this speed machine? Well its hydrogen gas- clean, renewable source of energy. Researchers in Germany have been working on the possibility of using the hydrogen gas a fuel for vehicles. They claim to have found answer to their quest and have decided to prove that hydrogen could be a better fuel for vehicles and the environment. Meanwhile Ronn Motor Company from Texas, US also seem to make an effort in using hydrogen as fuel for vehicles by trying to replace petrol or gasoline by hydrogen. Very soon it is expected that a day will come when hydrogen would really have replaced petrol or gasoline as fuel. Researchers say that, that day is not very far.

Autism is one kind of a disease that is making lives of young children vulnerable day by day. Now in an effort to find ways to curb this disease, US researchers have found a unique connection of the disease developing in children and the way the kids play with their toys. Researchers claim that kids who later develop this disease of autism in their life play in an unusual manner with their toys than the way a normal healthy kid would play. With the increase of this disease researchers are taking every possibility to study this disease to find a remedy for it. Earlier researchers have claimed that precipitation rate of a region determined the rate of prevalence of autism in the region. With many such claims being made day by day, all that one could hope for that is the researchers soon find a solution for to curb this disease.

On November 5 Barack Obama created history by becoming the first Afro-American President of United States of America. His orating skills helped him out in reaching in the hearts of millions of his supporters. This has been the main reason behind his success in becoming the new President of USA. But behind him, there have been 9 prominent personalities without whom Barack Obama would have found it difficult to succeed in the polls. These people have been branded as the winning team together in helping out Obama reach the success ladder in the elections. They are as follows:
1. David Axelrod: - a journalist who became Obama’s political consultant to help him in the polls and is believed to be the mastermind of Obama’s Presidential campaign
2. Heather Higgin Bottom: - shaped up the policies that Obama had put forth in front of people.
3. David Plouffe: - campaign manager for Barack Obama’s Presidential run in elections. His splendid management of expenses and funds helped Obama win both the states and the delegates.
While the above three people were the most important in Obama’s campaign, the others in this team were Chief of Staff- Pete Rouse, Adviser- Valerie Jarrett and people like Julius Genachowski, Reggie Love, and Penny Pritzker.

It’s official and final. At last Diego Maradona has been announced as the new Argentinean football coach. Maradona who single handedly led the Argentinean side to victory in FIFA World Cup 1986 seems to be pretty excited with the new job and responsibility. Though the football star had to fight drug obsession and obesity in his life and had gone through rough patches in his life, his supporters and fans are pretty much confident that he would be able to translate his playing skills into coaching skills. Whatever be it, Maradona seems to be keen in reviving the glory of Argentinean football by leading his team to win the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2010.

Barack Obama created history on November 5th by becoming the first Afro-American President of USA. Obama who closely contested against John McCain won the Presidential elections quite easily. But his road towards this success hasn’t been so easy. Converting his knowledge that he gained from his education into a path to the White House was a plan that was sketched neatly by his consultant David Axelrod and himself. Winning over the swinging states so easily has never been witnessed before as Obama’s victory showed. None of the candidates running for the President has got so much support both from Americans and from the world too. From here he has a long journey to cover with the sole perspective of the welfare of America and the rest of the world.

Autism is one kind of a disease that can make a child’s life terrible. While researchers in the world are busy trying to find a way to save children from this disease, a set of researchers from US believe that the amount of precipitation of a region or country determine the rate of autism prevailing there. While many still doubt this fact, researchers claim that a survey of precipitation rate of regions and the rate of autism prevailing there was taken and it was found that the rate of disease prevailing in the regions were proportional to the rate of precipitation found in the regions. Though researchers still doubt the fact, the only thing is that autism has made life miserable for many children irrespective of their ethnicity.
